Mechanism of Action:

Upon contact with the wound exudate or cleanser, CollaHeal™ transforms into a soft, conformable gel. This gel maintains an optimal moist wound environment, helping protect the wound while supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

Indications:

CollaHeal™ Collagen Wound Dressing is intended for the management of wounds, including:

  • Minimal to moderate exudating wounds
  • Venous ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Surgical wounds
  • Abrasions
  • Donor sites

Contraindications:

  • Do not use on patients with heavy exudating wounds
  • Do not use on patients with sensitivity to bovine collagen
  • Do not use on third-degree burns

Instructions for Use:

1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry surrounding skin gently.

2. Select the appropriate size of the dressing to cover the wound adequately. Cut dressing to match wound area if needed.

3. Apply the dressing directly to the wound bed and rehydrate the dressing with sterile water or saline if wound bed is dry.

4. Cover and secure dressing (non-adhesive) with a non-occlusive secondary dressing, if needed.

5. Change the dressing as recommended by healthcare professionals or when it becomes saturated.
