Upon application, CollaHeal™ Collagen Powder closely adhere to the surface and shape of the wound, ensuring a moist environment for the wound. They can be integrated with diverse dressings, providing a more comprehensive therapy option for clinical use.
Indications:
CollaHeal™ Collagen Powder are intended for the management of wounds including:
- Full thickness and partial thickness wounds
- Pressure (stage I-IV) and venous ulcers
- Ulcers caused by mixed vascular etiologies
- Venous stasis and diabetic ulcers
- 1st and superficial second-degree burns
- Cuts
- Abrasions
- Surgical wounds
Contraindications:
- Should not be used on patients sensitive to bovine collagen or third-degree burns
Instructions for Use:
1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry surrounding skin gently.
2. Using sterile technique, apply enough powder to cover the wound bed. If necessary, reconstitute with sterile water or saline to form a paste for easier application.
3. Apply a suitable secondary dressing to secure and protect powder.
4. Change the secondary dressing as needed, and when MD DME Collagen Powder is re-applied.
5. Remove secondary dressing and carefully cleanse the wound in accordance with standard procedures. It is not necessary to remove residual of gel.
