Mechanism of Action:
The CuraFoam™ Dressing cushions the wound surface while helping stabilize the local environment, reducing external disruption and mechanical stress. This supportive environment allows the body’s natural healing processes to progress more efficiently and protects newly formed tissue during recovery.
Indications:
CuraFoam™ Silicone Foam Dressing is intended for the management of wounds, including:
- Pressure ulcers/injuries
- Lower extremity wounds
- Sacral wounds
- Traumatic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Donor sites
- Skin tears
- Burns (1st and 2nd degree)
Contraindications:
• Do not use on patients with known sensitivity to silicone
Product Variants:
CuraFoam™ Standard Dressing: A high-absorbency foam dressing designed for general wound care and effective exudate management across a wide range of wounds.
CuraFoam™ Sacral Dressing: An anatomically shaped foam dressing designed to conform securely to the sacral area for improved coverage and stability in difficult-to-dress locations.
CuraFoam™ PU Dressing: A foam dressing with an added polyurethane layer that provides extra cushioning and support for enhanced comfort and protection.
Instructions for Use:
CuraFoam™ & CuraFoam™ Sacral
1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry surrounding skin gently.
2. Select the appropriate size of the dressing to cover the wound adequately. Wound pad should cover the dry surrounding skin by at least 1-2cm.
3. Remove the first release liner and apply the adherent side to the wound.
4. Remove the remaining release liner(s) and smooth down the border on the skin. Do not stretch the dressing.
5. Change the dressing as recommended by healthcare professionals or when it becomes saturated.
CuraFoam PU™
1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry surrounding skin gently.
2. Select the appropriate size of the dressing to cover the wound adequately. Wound pad should cover the dry surrounding skin by at least 1-2cm. Cut to size if necessary.
3. For difficult to dress anatomical locations, such as the heel, or tracheostomy, the specifically shaped dressing may be used.
4. Place the foam side directly on the wound and secure with a bandage, adhesive tape, or other appropriate secondary dressing.
5. Change the dressing as recommended by healthcare professionals or when it becomes saturated.
