PostSil™ Dressing utilizes a soft silicone contact layer that gently adheres to the surrounding skin while allowing exudate to pass through to the absorbent core. The inner absorbent layers capture and distribute fluid, helping maintain a balanced moist environment and reducing the risk of maceration. The outer waterproof film layer acts as a protective barrier against external contaminants while allowing the dressing to remain breathable.
PostSil™ Silicone Post-Operative Dressing is intended for the management of wounds, including:

1. Clean the wound with sterile saline water and dry surrounding skin gently.
2. Select the appropriate size of the dressing to cover the wound adequately. Wound pad should overlap the wound by at least 1-2 cm in order to protect the surrounding skin.
3. Remove the release film(s) as applicable and apply the adhesive side to the wound to achieve initial fixation.
4. Do not stretch and avoid wrinkles. Remove release film completely and then the other release film. Fixate the dressing securely in place.
5. To dress knee incisions, the knee should be slightly bent at the suitable degree of angle for optimal dressing application.
6. Change the dressing as recommended by healthcare professionals or when it becomes saturated.
